         AmCare Ambulance Service was founded in 1989 to serve the communities of St. Albans City, St. Albans Town, Fairfield and Georgia in northwestern Vermont.  

     We are the sole 9-1-1 ambulance service provider for our coverage area, and we provide back-up coverage to neighboring communities.  With 4 Advanced Life Support ambulances and over 4,000 responses annually, we are the largest Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provider in the area.  We are Franklin County's only career ambulance service, and with our wide service area and high demand, we respond to more calls each year than all other EMS agencies combined.  This, along with our many years of experience and dedicated staff, allow us to provide unequalled service to our customers.

     AmCare provides long distance critical care transportation throughout the Northeast, and we arrange bed-to-bed air medical transport throughout the US and Canada.  We also specialize in contract ambulance stand-by and discreet picture car service for media and film production and special events throughout Vermont.
